Sámi Homeland

Sámi Homeland is situated in Northern parts of County of Lapland in Finland. It includes Municipalities of Enontekiö, Inari and Utsjoki and the northern part of the Municipality of Sodankylä, that is, the area around Vuotso village. In Inari Municipality, there is also Skolt Sámi Area. Hence, unlike often presumed, the region better known as the Finnish Lapland or County of Lapland is not all part of Sámiland, only its three and a part northernmost municipalities.
