Sámi Cultural Centre Sajos
The main office and parliament hall of the Sámi Parliament are located at the Sámi Cultural Center Sajos in Inari. Sajos is the largest conference and event venue in Northern Lapland. Its facilities are equipped with modern conference technology and telecommunications links. The venue is suitable for events accommodating as many as 430 people. Situated in the heart of Sápmi, Sajos is surrounded by diverse Sámi culture and a unique natural environment. It offers a spectacular setting for a wide variety of events, such as concerts, conferences, and private occasions.
Facilities and rental
The facilities at Sámi Cultural Center Sajos are available for a wide variety of meetings, conferences and events. Inquiries and reservations can be made by contacting Sajos. Sajos offers modern and high-quality facilities in a unique environment, supporting hybrid meetings and live interpretation with ease. Sajos is also a popular venue for concerts, and the multi-purpose auditorium Dolla has been used for performances by a wide array of Finnish and Sámi artists. Private occasions, such as weddings, can also be organised at Sajos.
Also operating within Sajos is Čaiju, a meeting place, lunch restaurant and café that serves the Sámi Cultural Center. On weekdays, Čaiju offers many kinds of pastries, savoury snacks, and a delicious lunch, all made in-house. Čaiju is also licensed to serve alcohol and is open for evening events as well.
