The Duodji Akademiija 2027 project organises: workshop on skinning and processing reindeer leg skins

A workshop on skinning and processing reindeer leg skins in Karesuando on the Swedish side, at Eurosuando’s stable (Treriksvägen 1) on 25 March 2026 from 16:00–20:00 Finnish time (15:00–19:00 Swedish time).

The Duodji Akademiija 2027 project will provide the reindeer legs and materials. You may keep the legs yourself. Please bring your own sharp knife. Participation is at your own risk, as the project does not provide accident insurance for workshop participants.

The workshop is also an opportunity to hear more about the Duodji Akademiija 2027 project. If you do not wish to skin the legs, you are also welcome to come by just to talk and hear about the project. 😊

There are eight sets of reindeer legs, so 8 participants can take part in skinning the legs. If you would like to participate in skinning, please register in advance no later than 23 March.
