The Duodji Akademiija 2027 project workshop seminar at Hetta
The Duodji Akademiija 2027 project will organise a workshop seminar at Hetta School on June 6th, 2026. The theme is the vitality of the duodji tradition.
The seminar will discuss the situation of duodji in Enontekiö (Finland), Karesuando (Sweden), and Kautokeino (Norway), and share ideas on how duodji can be strengthened in these areas.
The aim of the day is to bring together duodji practitioners, people interested in duodji, youth, and duodji organisations for networking and discussion about the future of duodji. The day will conclude with a duodji workshop.
Interpretation will be provided in Northern Sámi, Finnish, and a Scandinavian language (“Sworsk”).
