The Sámi Parliament advances the teaching of Sámi languages, culture and Sámi language education

The Educational Committee and the Education and Learning Materials Office of the Sámi Parliament work with municipalities in the Sámi homeland, education providers, other Nordic organisations, and the Finnish National Agency for Education. The Sámi Parliament represents the Sámi voice in education policy. The status of Sámi languages and Sámi culture in education is one of the most important issues for the future of the Sámi people.
